When we look at who we are, do we see the Jesus who is in us?
Our focus needs to be on God, not on us. When we walk in His victory our world becomes His world, with us. The Glory and Honor is His not ours. It is our calling to serve not to be served. When we come to Him, He is there for us, with all that is His.

My 36th Anniversary gift to me & you
November 1, 2005, marks the thirty-sixth anniversary of the beginning of my ministry on All Saints Day, 1969, when Pastor Herb Miller of Westridge Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Roswell, New Mexico, asked me to preach the Sunday morning service and my good friend, Rev. Rolland Watters, had me preach that evening at Peoples Baptist Church just a few miles away. So much has happened to me, them, their churches, the religious denominations and the world as we know it in the years since then.
The past several months, I have struggled to find a niche for this blog in my overall scheme of my web presence. In spite of having no more sense of direction than many in the ministry today, this site has attained and maintained a respectable ranking and position in the search engines.
I have tried chronicling past, present, and future revivals in the churches but it's really being done quite well by Ron and Barbara McGatlin at the International Revival Network (www.OpenHeaven.com : The Carolina Revival Connection). I tried a little political/social ranting but the web is as full of this as Hyde Park in London. So I've decided , like the late Ricky Nelson, "you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself."
So here's my anniversary gift to me...and also to you. I will henceforth use this blog to tell stories from the past several decades, some people I've met & some places I've been. And while I'm at it, I plan to pass on a little of what I've learned about getting your church or ministry listed and ranked in the web where you can actually reach some folks. Too long have preachers and churches spent a lot of money on a web presence hoping to reach large numbers of people around the world and then have the experience of having a pretty website that has received a grand total of 847 hits since 1998. When I got into this website stuff a couple of years ago, I knew I had to reach more than a few--I could do better than that, in fact I have done better than that, by passing out tracts on street corners. God has favored my efforts; try these searches: David Holdridge, Bishop Holdridge, 24/7 Jesus, or even bishop primus - Fort Worth.
Not bad, when you share your name with a baseball player, a major mover/shaker in international relief efforts, a few businessmen, and some academic/scientific luminaries --- all of whom are more qualified on the "rich & famous" scale. God has also given me favor with some SEO experts like Aaron Wall of SEObook.com and Tinu Abayomi-Paul of Free Traffic Tips - The Blog, both of whom volunteered to help this poor preacher just about the time I felt I needed it most. I'll try to tell you more in the next few days.
